Coolchaser Privacy Policy

What This Privacy Policy Covers

  • This privacy policy pertains to the use of all services related to NextSmallThings (a California Corporation), including the coolchaser web site at www.coolchaser.com, and url website at www.url.com.
  • This privacy policy covers how CoolChaser treats personal information that CoolChaser collects and receives. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable including but not limited to your name, address, email address, or phone number.
  • Children under 13 are not permitted to use any CoolChaser services, and so this privacy policy makes no provision for children's use of the site.

Information Collection and How it is used

General Information

  • CoolChaser collects personal information when you register with CoolChaser services, when you use CoolChaser services or when you post content on CoolChaser.
  • When you register we may ask for your email address and certain optional information such as your name, birth date, birth place, gender, biographical information,ICQ/AIM/Yahoo/MSN user name, and personal interests.

  • CoolChaser may access information that you provide to MySpace to provide a better user experience (e.g. we detect your MySpace display name) and for targeted advertising and offers.

IP Addresses
IP Addresses are automatically reported by your browser each time you view a web page. Your IP address is stored in our user registration databases when you register with CoolChaser.

  • When you create a clip, post a message, vote or comment on any search results, your ID or alias that you are posting under is visible to other users as well as any information that you are posting.

  • CoolChaser may be required to disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances,such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the CoolChaser Terms of Service.
  • CoolChaser may share demographic information with business partners. No personally identifiable information will ever be used without your permission (e.g.. we will ask you for a quote or testimonial)
  • CoolChaser does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested or when we have your permission.
  • It may be necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of CoolChaser's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
